Sri Hridayaleeswarar sivan temple is a Hindu temple, located at Thirunindravur near Chennai, India. The inner roof of the temple is fashioned like that of a heart divided into four compartments probably displaying Poosalaar's conception. Parvati here is worshipped as Maragathambigai.Poosalaar's statue is found with folded hands in the shrine of Irudhayaleeeswarar. Irudhayaleeswarar is also worshipped as Manavaleswarar. People with an ailing heart is said to flock to this temple for speedy recovery due to Irudhayaleeswarar's grace.

Sri Bakthavatsala Perumal temple is a Hindu temple, located at Thirunindravur, southern Indian city of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, is dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu. The temple has a 5 tier gopuram at the entrance and two precincts. The Moolavar(presiding deity) of the temple is Bakthavasala. The Moolavar is at a standing position facing east. The height of the Moolavar is around 10 ft (3.0 m). The Utsavar(procession deity) is called Patharaavi is made of panchaloka and is accompanied by two consorts as in most Vaishnavite temples. There is a separate shrine for Ennai Petra Thayar also called Sudhavalli, the consort of Bakthavasala. The temple also has separate shrines for Andal, Chakkarathazhwar, the Alwars and Sri Ramanuja.

Eri Katha Ramar Temple is one of the significant temples dedicated to Lord Sri Rama. The Ramar temple is known as Kaiunakaramurti and Daasharathi and fondly referred to as Eri Katha Ramar. This small shrine is also facing, east. It is located in a very scenic spot about half a kilometer west of the Bhaktavatsala Perumal temple, with the holy tank known as Kshira Pushkarini on one side and bordered by the vast lake named Varuna Pushkarini on another.

Siddhar Kadu Two great Siddhas, Padukkai Jadamudi Siddha and Prana Deepika Siddha performed penance in this place.They installed a Shivalinga under a Gooseberry tree and named in Nelliappar .Thathiri in Sanskrit means gooseberry and the Tamil name is Nelli .As the place is fragrant, it is also called Tirumanam-good fragrance.It is called Siddhar Kadu as Siddhas lived here. In the days that followed it is Chitukadu now.


Greatness of Temple

Wedding worship is mainly followed in this temple.A king, while commencing the renovation of the temple, found the idol of Mother, named Her Poonguzhali and erected a shrine.Those facing obstacles in their marriage proposals , perform abishek to Lord with gooseberry powder, juice and seeds and milk to Lord and offer green vastras and bangles to Mother and light ghee lamps. Nandhi in the temple does not have the nose rope as it is soft in appearance.
